Artist's Description

Reelfoot Lake near Tiptonville, Tennessee, was formed during the winter of 1811/12 by earthquakes along the New Madrid Fault. It is now a wonderful recreation area known for its fishing, birding, wildlife viewing and, of course, its cypress trees. The magic of a cloudy day and completely calm water cast a spell of wonder that can be felt to this day.

Jim Dollar is an amateur photographer specializing in landscape and wildlife. He has been pursuing the art for over 20 years, and is just beginning to see what he looks at. The road is long. He keeps looking.
